Innovative Science and Excellence in Pediatric Research Grant

General Information:

The Child Health Research Center is searching to fund innovative, paradigm shifting, and/or technology advancing projects through an Innovative Science and Excellence in Pediatric Research Grant.  Funding will support projects in basic, translational, and/or clinical research to obtain preliminary data for external funding.

Amount: $12,500: One grant for Young Investigators (<7yrs from initial appointment)

One grant for Established Investigators (>7 yrs from initial appointment)

Duration: 1 Year

Eligibility: Individuals with Projects that are Applicable to the Health of Children

Format:

  • All applications should follow NIH Format: (Form 398, attached)
  • Abstract, Significance, Innovation, Research Plan (6 pages maximum, excluding References)
  • A paragraph how the research will: a)  enhance research excellence in the Department of Pediatrics and b) advance knowledge applicable to the preservation of children‘s health.
  • Budget/Budget justification (1 page)
  • NIH Style Biosketch (3 page maximum)
  • Human Subjects and/or Vertebrate Animals
  • Font: Arial 12 pt, 1 inch margins

Deadline:  Friday, December 11, 2015, 5pm
