[Old Jordan Hall Auditorium (Rm 1-5)] James R. Sowers, MD, holds the Thomas W. and Joan F. Burns Missouri Chair in Diabetology and is director of the Burns Center for Diabetes and Cardiovascular Research at the University of Missouri School of Medicine. Dr. Sowers also serves as chief of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, and as vice chair for research in the Department of Internal Medicine. Dr. Sowers holds a joint appointment in UMC’s Department of Medical Pharmacology and Physiology.
