Kedes, MD, PhD, is director of UVA’s Medical Scientist Training Program and holds joint appointments in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Cancer Biology and the Division of Infectious Diseases and International Health, Department of Medicine. Dr. Kedes’ research focuses on understanding Kaposi’s sarcoma (KS) and the virus which causes it, human herpes virus or KSHV.
