Jun 06 Preparing for Birth and Baby

[University Hospital ] This five session class will help you prepare for birth, your hospital stay and going home. Topics include: stages of labor, when to come to the hospital, comfort measures and labor support, pain medication options and possible interventions, such as cesarean birth . We will also have a session that covers newborn care. In the last class in the series, we will discuss postpartum life, including self care of the mom, how partners can help, and how to make the transition to parenthood.
