Research Interest:

My project focuses on the role of integrins in the retention of tumor infiltrating T cells in the tumor microenvironment. These specific integrins are known to be involved in persistence of T cells in peripheral tissues and are linked to a tissue resident memory phenotype. I seek to understand whether these retention integrins have a similar function in the tumor microenvironment. Furthermore I am interested to link their function to control of expression, which would open up a possibility to increase persistence of effector T cells in the tumor microenvironment.
