Recently, Melanie Rutkowski was granted a travel award from the American Association of Immunologists which provides funds for the PIs or members of their labs to another laboratory to learn a technique that is not readily available to their institution. Fortunately, this award has been amplified by a new CIC initiative which matched the AAI award — allowing the lab to send two lab members to study a technique. So, Dr. Rutkowski elected to send Claire Rosean, a postdoc in her lab, and Raegan Bostic, the lab manager, to study ‘Seq Well’ in the Alex Shalek lab at MIT.
