1.     To learn about the roles of a large family of secreted virulence factors from diarrheagenic E. coli.

2.     To learn the strategies that bacterial enteropathogens have evolved to control their host.

3.     To learn how host glycosylation is exploited by enteropathogens to control the immune system.
