Research Resources
About
UVa offers clinical investigators and research staff substantial resources to assist with their human subject research projects. The offices and programs supporting clinical research are committed to identifying and adhering to best practices to facilitate efficient, compliant and ethical study conduct and management.
Research Cores
The School of Medicine provides access to a variety of research support cores for clinical investigators. These cores are generally subsidized by the School of Medicine but investigators are charged for the use of the cores to help offset the cost of the service. Complete information about the services provided, contact information and cost is provided by following the link.
Standard Operating Procedures
Research Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) were developed, and are maintained and updated as necessary, to provide consistency for designing and managing clinical trials: from initial concept through submission to research committees, recruitment, managing subjects and data, to source documentation and final close-out and archival. They serve as a reference guide for new and existing staff and as an assurance to potential sponsors of the institution’s commitment to rigorous adherence to Good Clinical Practice.
